Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their well-being and promoting their independence. You will work closely with clients in their homes, to enhance their quality of life through patient care and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to individuals with disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Monitor clients' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Advocate for resident rights and ensure that all clients are treated with dignity and respect.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Engage clients in social activities that promote interaction and enhance their social skills.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, social workers, and other healthcare providers, to deliver comprehensive care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in patient care or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of resident rights and advocacy principles is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Ability to remain patient and calm in challenging situations while providing compassionate support.
• Familiarity with assisted living environments or nursing homes is beneficial.
• A background in social work or senior care is advantageous but not required.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
