Remote HR Generalist

About the Role Our client is a progressive and technology-forward organization seeking a dedicated and versatile Remote HR Generalist to join their expanding team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa. The HR Generalist will be responsible for a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition support, performance management, HR policy implementation, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. You will be a key point of contact for employees, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters. This role requires a self-starter with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to manage HR functions remotely. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive HR support to employees and managers across various departments. Manage and resolve employee relations issues, including grievances and disciplinary matters. Assist in talent acquisition processes, including job postings, screening, and interview coordination. Support the implementation and administration of HR policies and procedures. Administer and communicate employee benefits programs. Facilitate performance management processes and support employee development initiatives. Ensure compliance with all South African labor laws and regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS. Develop and deliver HR training materials and sessions as needed. Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in a generalist HR role. Strong understanding of South African labor law and HR best practices. Proven experience in employee relations, recruitment, and HR administration. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in HRIS systems and standard office productivity software. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting. Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with remote employees and stakeholders.
