Mail Clerk (Part-Time)

About the Role
- We are looking for Part-Time Mail Clerk to join our Revenue Cycle Team
- Process daily deposits
- Print and mail out all HCFA forms for the practice attaching any corresponding visit notes, operative reports, etc.
- File electronic claims to clearing house
- File operative reports, surgery orders & workers' compensation notes
- Organize surgery packet together for coders
- Pick up the mail from the post office box
- Answer the phone for the department and direct the call to the appropriate person
- Additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Comfortable using a computer, e-mail, and Internet applications
- Knowledge of practice management and word processing software
- Basic understanding of how medical insurance works
- Knowledge of managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare and Workers' Compensation
- Basic Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 Coding for Orthopedic Surgery (Preferred)
- Strong communication skills
- One year experience in a medical office
