LaPlante Electric Inc. in Scarborough, ME is hiring a full-time Tin Knocker - Sheet Metal Technician . The pay is $28 to $38 per hour, depending on your experience.

This job is full-time, Monday through Friday. You will start your day at 7 am, 8 am, or 9 am and finish at 4 pm or 5 pm . Sometimes, you may need to work on weekends. You will meet at our main location before heading out to the job site.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a Tin Knocker - Sheet Metal Technician, you will make, put together, and install HVAC ductwork and sheet metal parts. You will follow blueprints and drawings to know what to do. You will measure, cut, bend, and fit sheet metal using different tools. You will put in duct systems, registers, diffusers, dampers, and other parts. You will also seal, insulate, and test the ductwork to make sure everything works right. You will work with other crew members to finish jobs safely and on time.

TIN KNOCKER - SHEET METAL TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience installing duct systems, registers, diffusers, dampers, and ventilation components
• Ability to fabricate, assemble, and install HVAC ductwork and sheet metal components
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications
• Skill in measuring, cutting, bending, and fitting sheet metal using hand and power tools
• Capability to seal, insulate, and test ductwork
• Strong coordination and communication with installation crews

Preferred:

• EPA, OSHA 10/30, or sheet metal certifications
• Experience as a tin knocker, sheet metal mechanic, or HVAC installer
