Operations Manager

Operations Manager - New Jersey - Personal Care Contract Manufacturer I’m currently working with a personal care contract manufacturer to hire an Operations Manager to join their leadership team. This is a key role responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations, driving efficiency, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products to a diverse customer base. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily manufacturing operations, including production, scheduling, and resource allocation Drive operational efficiency, productivity improvements, and cost optimization initiatives Ensure on‑time delivery and adherence to customer specifications and quality standards Collaborate cross‑functionally with Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, and Customer Service teams Lead, develop, and mentor production teams and supervisors Monitor and improve KPIs related to safety, quality, output, and downtime Support scale‑up of new products and technology transfers from R&D into manufacturing Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (preferred) 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, ideally within personal care, cosmetics, or FMCG Proven leadership experience in a contract manufacturing or high‑mix production environment Strong understanding of GMP, quality systems, and regulatory requirements Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements and managing KPIs Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, customer‑driven environment Preferred Experience Experience in personal care, cosmetics, or OTC manufacturing Familiarity with batch processing, compounding, and filling/packaging operations Exposure to private label or contract manufacturing business models Experience implementing Lean or continuous improvement programs #J-18808-Ljbffr
