Days Left: 25 days, 3 hours left Apply Title: Buyer I Type (Contract): 12 months Location: North Reading, MA Payrate: $20-$23 per hour Day To Day:
- Execute the set up of new vendors and individual items to broaden our market selection.
- Maintain the product catalog by up dating costs, retail pricing, and technical content.
- Coordinate and manage the logistics for new product introductions (NPI) to ensure timely market entry.
- Manage and audit product images and digital content to ensure high-quality presentation.
- Act as a primary point of contact for vendor partners to resolve inquiries and maintain healthy professional relationships.
- Serve as a trained backup for the Control Buyer and assist with strategic special projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- At least 1+ years of experience in a high-volume, global procurement or manufacturing environment.
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP systems (ideally Oracle EBS).
- Proven experience executing procurement needs specifically for new product introduction programs.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a collegial, team-centric environment.
- High level of self-motivation and a sharp eye for detail when managing complex datasets.
- A foundational understanding of data management and experience using Access or basic SQL for database queries.
- While Oracle is preferred, experience with SAP is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with supply chain management principles that allow you to troubleshoot logistical bottlenecks
