Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Location Charlottesville, VA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Onsite Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a 12-bed Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio Manage and monitor patients with diagnoses including respiratory illnesses, renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell, and cystic fibrosis Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation and care coordination Float within scope of practice as needed per facility float policy Work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 winter holidays as required by unit scheduling Required Qualifications Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date) BLS certification required Epic experience required Nursys verification required at time of submission Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted per facility mileage rule) Maximum 40 hours of requested time off per 13-week contract; all RTO must be disclosed at submission Preferred Experience / Skills BSN preferred Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and care of complex, multi-diagnosis patient populations Why Join Us Opportunity for an extended assignment running through early 2027, providing long-term stability for travel professionals Flexible weekly hour options (36 or 48 hours) to support work-life balance Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 775513.
