Job Title Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical/Telemetry Location Charlottesville, VA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Every other weekend and every other holiday required | Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a 17-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio Care for patients admitted from the Emergency Department, Medical ICU, clinics, outside hospitals, and nursing facilities Manage a wide range of medical diagnoses including diabetes, sickle cell crisis, COPD exacerbations, ESRD with pulmonary hypertension, and patients with wounds, drains, and tubes Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR Float within scope of practice as needed per facility float policy Required Qualifications Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date) BLS certification required Epic EMR experience required Nursys verification required at time of submission Maximum of 40 hours of requested time off per 13-week contract; no time off approved around Labor Day Candidates must not exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility; a 1-year separation and leadership approval are required for previous permanent or internal travel staff Preferred Experience / Skills ACLS certification preferred but not required BSN preferred Experience with telemetry monitoring and high-acuity medical-surgical patient populations Prior travel nursing experience in a similar acute care setting Why Join Us Work in a dynamic, high-acuity unit that exposes you to a broad spectrum of complex medical diagnoses and patient populations Flexible weekly hour options (36 or 48 hours) to support work-life balance within a structured 13-week contract Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 776433.
