Posting Details Position Title: Lecturer/Assistant/Associate Professor Position Type: Faculty Department: School of Social Sciences - Political Science - Troy Division: College of Education and Behavioral Sciences Campus: Troy If Faculty position: 12 Month Is this position tenure track or non-tenure track?: Dependent on selected rank Work Status: Full-Time (FT) Temporary: No Location: Troy - T01 Job Summary: The Lecturer/Assistant/Associate Professor of Political Science position in the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences is primarily responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in politics and law; pursuing a scholarship and research agenda; serving on committees at all levels; involvement in service to the community; and advising students. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Ph.D. in Political Science, Politics, Government, or related field prior to final appointment. 2. Strong consideration will be given to a candidate with a background in Legal Studies, Constitutional Law, and judicial politics. 3. Demonstrated excellence in research and teaching. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Demonstrated or potential excellence in teaching undergraduate courses. 2. Strong secondary specialization (such as public law and research methods) in political science that will complement our existing faculty strengths.
