Part-time paralegal needed for a thriving small probate and estates practice. Candidates should be comfortable using Dropbox, Adobe, Microsoft Office and LexisNexis software tools. Experience e-filing on NYSCEF is a plus. Spanish speaking a plus. The paralegal will interact with clients and court to assist with case progress and documentation needs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize legal documents for probate cases and some estate planning
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records
- File legal documents with courts or other relevant entities
- Communicate with clients regarding case status and documentation
- Schedule appointments, hearings, and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in legal support, preferably in probate
- Strong communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent organizational abilities
