Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a strong, established, and growing Michigan-based bank that is seeking to expand their existing Grand Rapids Commercial Banking Team by hiring a well-rounded Commercial Banker.
This is a great opportunity for a commercial credit-trained banker of varying years of experience to join an existing team of highly connected, successful commercial bankers who call on all types of commercial clients throughout Grand Rapids and the surrounding communities. The ideal commercial banker will enjoy building relationships with businesses while providing a full suite of banking products and services.
This organization prioritizes the needs of its customers throughout the state of Michigan, and bankers are able to offer Commercial & Industrial loans, Commercial Real Estate loans, and SBA loans. The bank does not segment bankers by deal size, allowing commercial lenders to work with organizations of all sizes and structure credit facilities ranging from approximately $1MM to $30MM.
Flexibility and taking care of the client are always top priorities within the organization. This individual may also assume an existing portfolio of clients upon hire.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage commercial banking relationships throughout Grand Rapids and surrounding communities.
- Originate Commercial & Industrial (C&I), Commercial Real Estate (CRE), and SBA loans.
- Build and maintain relationships with businesses of varying sizes and industries.
- Structure and present commercial credit opportunities.
- Provide a full suite of banking products and services to commercial clients.
- Maintain strong client service while supporting portfolio growth and credit quality.
Qualifications:
- Commercial credit training and commercial banking experience preferred.
- Experience with commercial lending, including C&I, CRE, and/or SBA lending.
- Strong relationship-building and business development skills.
- Ability to assess, structure, and present commercial credit opportunities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Desire to work in a collaborative, relationship-focused banking environment.
