Your Responsibilities

• Executing thorough assessments of patients, ordering necessary diagnostic examinations, and crafting tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health challenges in collaboration with physicians or independently (according to your credentials)
• Providing education to patients and their families on preventive care, health promotion, and disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with your designated authority
• Taking part in follow-up care and chronic disease management
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, holistic treatment
• Maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation within electronic medical record systems (EMR)

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program

Certifications Needed

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas
• National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
