Production Support

Production Support Contract: 2 years

Location: NY, NJ, Charlotte (Hybrid work environment)

This position is a senior level technical role that will execute application support of production systems with a focus on incident management, problem management, change/release, and other ITIL based functions. The individual will need to lead discussions and collaboration with development and business teams and be able to develop a deep understanding of applications and business functionality. This role requires the ability to operate independently and help transform and mature the support organization. The position will be working in a corporate environment with large, complex, and critical applications across a wide range of technologies. Examples include large, complex, Tier 1 IIS/.NET/SQL applications, web hosting with multiple server tier levels, and application and server level clustering and load balancing.

• Minimum 5 years of work experience
• Core Experience: Application / Production support (L2/L3)
• Excellent communication
• Experienced Production support resource with preferable background in Banking / Risk domain
• Good working experience in Windows / Linux based platforms
• Sound Database skills (MySQL / Oracle / Mongo DB)
• Experience in Incident management, independently handling Incident Triage calls.
• Exposure to monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk
• Understanding of Cloud fundamentals (GCP / Azure)
• Ability to self-start and independently drive efficiency improvement projects.

In this contingent resource assignment you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Systems Operations Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted larger scale or longer-term Systems Operations Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function policies procedures and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.

Required Qualifications: 5 years of Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience training military experience education. Additional Skills Required Qualifications:• 5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.• 4+ years Observability monitoring tools (App Dynamics, Thousand Eyes, ITRS, Splunk)• 4+ years Windows/Linux operating systems• 4+ years of application production support experience• Outstanding problem solving and decision-making skills• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment• Ability to work effectively in a team environment• Cloud initiatives (preferably Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP))Desired Qualifications:• Experience supporting an enterprise-level environment• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills• 3+ years of SQL experience• Ability to manage initiatives involving process improvements
