About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401!

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Utilize EKG interpretation skills as required for this specialty; candidates must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Administer and manage medications using Pyxis; document care using Epic; communicate using SBAR methodology
• Float to other units as needed per facility requirements
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule
• May be assigned to a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team; contract staff may be expected to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters

• Active RN license - NC state license or Compact license accepted (pending licensure considered for submittal)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical/Telemetry RN experience
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Must be open to floating within or near the facility as needed
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are welcome to apply; a local pay rate will apply

• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Familiarity with isolation protocols, including care of COVID-positive patients
• Experience working in a multi-level care environment including stepdown-adjacent units

• First-time travelers are welcome, making this an excellent opportunity to launch a travel nursing career
• Longer contract options (up to 26 weeks) offer stability and the chance to build deeper experience in a dynamic acute care setting
