Senior Specialist, Technical Product Management

Merck seeks a Senior Specialist in Technical Product Management with expertise in analytical method development, process development, and manufacturing. The role involves building data products for scientific stakeholders while bridging technical requirements and data-driven development across multiple sites.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams to develop data products for analytical and process workflows
- Engage scientific stakeholders to gather, prioritize, and manage product requirements and user stories
- Develop and maintain technical domain expertise in analytical sciences, process development, and manufacturing
- Serve as Product Owner on Agile teams, ensuring scientific and data needs are met
- Plan testing activities, create training materials, and analyze data to inform product strategy
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years building tools or data assets for scientific or analytics workflows
- 3-5 years working with analytical scientists and process engineers on data product requirements
- Proficiency in SQL, data analytics, and scientific data management
- Experience with cloud data services (AWS Athena, Glue, S3, Redshift) or similar platforms
- Ability to translate scientific and business problems into actionable requirements
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills
