Designer - Workplace/Commercial Interiors

Your RoleAs a Gensler Interior Designer working in our Denver office, you will design innovative corporate interior environments that are both purposeful and inspiring. You will combine design creativity, technical rigor, and an understanding of business needs to deliver thoughtful workplace solutions for a range of clients. Working closely with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, you’ll contribute to a culture of design excellence while creating engaging spaces that support how people work today—and how they’ll work tomorrow.What You Will DoUtilize your experience to perform interior design assignments that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentationParticipate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lightingCreates initial concept packages with a strong design story, to guide the design process through project completionConducts programming efforts through space planning studies to arrive at final approved plan that meet the goals of clientsSculpts interior spaces as a holistic experience including specification of furniture, lighting, artwork and finishes/materialsLeads day-to-day project coordination efforts with the ability to prioritize deadlines, manage communication and coordination with clients and consultantsCommunicates conceptual design ideas through 2D and 3D presentation/design drawingsWork with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectivesParticipates in the construction administration of projects - including review of submittals and finish samples as well as value engineering efforts to maintain design intentYour QualificationsBachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited schoolNCIDQ Certification or Architecture licensure preferred but not required5 - 8 years of professional design experienceCommercial experience required; Workplace and Corporate Interiors preferredProficient in Revit, SketchUp, 3D and other modeling software programsProficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specificationsGraphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas (3D and 2D)Think three-dimensionally with great attention to detailExcited to be an active participant in a vibrant design cultureHave a growth mindsetPlease upload your portfolio/work samples along with your resume. To be considered, portfolios should include at least 1 project with workplace/corporate interiors focus.**Compensation is based upon experience and estimated range is $75,000 – $100,000 annually + bonuses + benefitsThis is not a remote or hybrid position.
