This opportunity is ideal for a Payroll Coordinator who enjoys in-house, full-cycle payroll, complex calculations, and working closely with departments to resolve payroll issueswithout direct people management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Coordinator
- Process full-cycle, in-house payroll for approximately 800 full-time employees on a semi-monthly basis, including payroll tax processing through EFTPS, as the Payroll Coordinator
- Support employee payroll by calculating hours, auditing reports, and ensuring accurate module processing as the Payroll Coordinator
- Manage payroll deductions, garnishments, benefits, retirement plans, and payroll liabilities, including reconciliations, as the Payroll Coordinator
- Prepare and audit overtime, compensatory time, class-based calculations, and expired comp time payouts as the Payroll Coordinator
- Maintain payroll calendars, schedules, and documentation while partnering with departments to resolve payroll issues as the Payroll Coordinator
Qualifications for the Payroll Coordinator
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 4+ years of recent, hands-on in-house payroll experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office; PeopleSoft experience is highly desirable
