Join Our Radiology Team in Aurora, Colorado!

Our organization is on the lookout for a full-time, Board-Certified Radiologist to take on the role of Chief of Radiology at our facility in Aurora, Colorado. This position is pivotal in enhancing quality care standards and fostering the growth of our VA academic hospital program.

The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, effective communicator, and collaborative team member, capable of adapting to the dynamic needs of a large, established medical center.

• Oversee a diverse team of radiology healthcare professionals, including physicians, technologists, nurses, and administrative staff.
• Participate in the planning, development, and management of various radiology operations, including general radiology, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Mammography, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine (covering fiscal, budgeting, operational, and compliance aspects).
• Fulfill the clinical duties of a diagnostic radiologist by interpreting various radiology studies conducted by the Radiology Service, such as MRI, CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, general radiology, and fluoroscopy. Additional services may be provided in areas of expertise like breast imaging or interventional radiology.
• Support academic partnerships involving technologists, radiologic assistants, medical students, residents, and other educational programs related to the Imaging Service, ensuring effective teaching and cognitive development.

Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

• Salary: Up to $400,000 annually.
• Recruitment Bonus: Up to 25% of your annual salary.
• Relocation Assistance: Available for highly qualified candidates.
• Education Debt Reduction Program: Eligible for student loan repayment assistance, with specific eligibility criteria. Applications must be submitted within four months of appointment, with potential awards up to $200,000.
• Paid Time Off: 50 - 55 days of annual leave, including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, and a possible 5-day paid absence for CME.
• Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and a federal 401k with contributions up to 5% by the organization.
• Insurance: Comprehensive federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long-term care coverage, with options to carry into retirement.
• CME: Potential reimbursement of up to $1,000 per year.
• Malpractice Coverage: Liability protection with tail coverage included.
• Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and minimal restrictions on moonlighting.

• A minimum of three years in imaging leadership roles.
• Specialization in Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medicine, MSK, or Mammography.
• Three years of experience in the specific imaging area of expertise.

• Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent qualification in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
• Possession of one full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory, with the requirement to maintain an active status.
• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory; non-citizens may only be appointed when qualified citizens cannot be recruited, in accordance with VA Policy.
