Join Our Radiology Team in Aurora, Colorado!

Our organization is on the lookout for a full-time, Board-Certified Radiologist to take on the role of Chief of Radiology at our facility in Aurora, Colorado. This position plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality care standards while fostering the growth and development of our VA academic hospital program.

The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, effective communicator, and collaborative team member, capable of adapting to the dynamic needs of a large, established medical center. Responsibilities will include supervising a diverse group of radiology healthcare professionals and support staff, such as physicians, technologists, nurses, and administrative personnel.

• Oversee the planning, development, and management of various radiology operations, including general radiology, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Mammography, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine.
• Engage in clinical duties as a diagnostic radiologist, interpreting a range of radiology studies conducted by the Radiology Service, including MRI, CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, general radiology, and fluoroscopy.
• Possibly provide services in additional clinical areas where trained and privileged, such as breast imaging or interventional radiology.
• Support academic partnerships involving technologists, radiologic assistants, medical students, residents, and other educational programs related to the Imaging Service, ensuring effective teaching and cognitive development.

Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

• Salary: Up to $400,000 annually.
• Recruitment Bonus: Up to 25% of your annual salary.
• Relocation Assistance: Available for highly qualified candidates.
• Education Debt Reduction Program: Eligible for student loan repayment through the EDRP, with specific eligibility criteria. Award amounts can reach up to $200,000, with a review process determining the eligibility period.
• Paid Time Off: 50 to 55 days of annual leave, including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, and a potential 5-day paid absence for CME.
• Retirement: Traditional federal pension with a 5-year vesting period and a federal 401k plan with contributions up to 5% by the organization.

• CME: Possible reimbursement of up to $1,000 per year.
• Malpractice Coverage: Free liability protection with tail coverage included.
• Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and minimal restrictions on moonlighting.

• A minimum of three years in imaging leadership roles.
• Specialization in Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medicine, MSK, or Mammography.
• At least three years of experience in the specific imaging area of expertise.

• Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent qualification in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
• Possession of one full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory, with a commitment to maintaining an active license.
• U.S. citizenship is required; non-citizens may only be considered when qualified citizens cannot be recruited, in accordance with VA policy.
