Make a direct difference in students’ educational experiences as a dedicated paraprofessional in a vibrant school community near Berkeley, CA. This contract opportunity is ideal for compassionate, motivated individuals who thrive on supporting classroom achievement and personal growth for children at all developmental levels.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Prior experience working with children, preferably in an educational or special education setting
- Ability to follow teacher direction and adapt to students’ unique learning needs
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Reliability, patience, and a positive, proactive attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or relevant certification is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with classroom management, instructional support, and preparation of teaching materials
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who require additional help
- Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development under the guidance of certified staff
- Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and accommodations as needed
- Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, and transitions
- Maintain confidentiality, respect, and professionalism at all times

Compensation for this position ranges from $16.90 to $35.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
