Pest Control Technician

Benefits start day 1 for full‑time colleagues. No waiting period. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points. Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, to effectively eliminate pests while adhering to safety standards. Educate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest‑free environment. Provide advice on how to reduce the risk of future infestations. Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, assist with sales to current customers, and expand our product to new customers. Ensure that all pest control equipment is properly maintained, stocked, and in good working condition. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols. Drive and safely operate a company‑provided service vehicle (routine maintenance provided). Essential Job Functions Work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, and narrow aisles. Work around animals, insects, and termites. Be prepared to work around mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals; training will be provided for all conditions. Work both indoors and outdoors in the local climate using company‑provided weather gear. Regularly move, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and use stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA‑compliant respirator. Qualifications Clean shaven face for safety reasons (rebreathers need to seal the face). High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by the company). Available to work Monday‑Friday and weekends as needed. Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control. Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills. Basic math skills — ability to follow instructions for mixing on product labels. Customer‑facing experience preferred. Pay Hourly: $18.00 – $20.00. Pay may vary by location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings can be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).
