The Opportunity
Description

Pay: $35 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain CNC part programs using internally designed Autodesk Inventor models, drawings, project communications, and Mastercam.
• Select and configure cutting tools, fixtures, workholding methods, machining strategies, speeds, and feeds.
• Review drawings, 3D models, and design data to determine dimensions, tooling, setups, machining sequences, and parameters.
• Set up and operate CNC equipment as needed to meet production requirements.
• Monitor machine output and performance; make mechanical, tooling, or program adjustments to meet quality requirements.
• Use AutoCAD Mechanical and Autodesk Inventor to create or revise 2D and 3D drawings and machining documentation.
• Create or support tooling design drawings for form cutters, specialty tooling, and die and mold production.
• Organize project information, drawings, program files, and communications for new project startups.
• Maintain machine tooling, tool room inventory, measuring and gauge tools, and consumable support equipment.
• Contact vendors to stay current on tooling developments, cutting tools, and machining improvements.Assist with training and supporting less experienced machinists as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 8+ years of experience in machine shop operations, CNC milling, or related precision machining.
• 3–5 years of CNC programming experience using Mastercam or comparable CAD/CAM software.
• Proficient understanding of G-code, M-code, CNC setup, machining strategies, feeds and speeds, and cutting tool selection.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, 3D models, machining data, specifications, and project communications.
• Experience applying good manufacturing practices and selecting tooling and machining resources for die and mold production.
• Proficient with precision measuring equipment and inspecting work to tight tolerances, including ±0.002 inches where required.
• Experience with AutoCAD Mechanical, Autodesk Inventor, Mastercam, or similar CAD/CAM tools preferred.
• Strong communication, math, computer, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
• Trade school, associate degree, technical certificate, or related machining/manufacturing training preferred.
