Step into a valued role supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) working with a collaborative team dedicated to student success. This contract opportunity includes two available positions, both focusing on elementary caseloads that feature a range of speech and language needs, including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). The position offers full-time hours at 7 hours per day (35 hours per week) to start, with the possibility of transitioning to 5.75 hours per day (28.75 hours per week) as team composition shifts. There is also potential for a 30-hour workweek, pending approval—giving you flexibility as the schedule develops.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Valid SLPA license or certification in California
• Experience in school-based settings, preferably with elementary-aged children
• Understanding or direct experience with AAC systems, or a willingness to learn and engage with new technologies
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with SLPs, educators, and families
• Organized, reliable, and adaptable to changes in daily schedules

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement therapy sessions under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Support students’ speech and language goals through individualized and group interventions
• Document progress and maintain accurate records
• Utilize AAC devices and support students in their effective use
• Collaborate closely with SLPs, educators, and other staff for holistic student support
