MS-IL Staffing & Packaging and our local client are now hiring for a 1st Shift Receiving Clerk position in the Southwest Indianapolis area!

Schedule & Pay

• Shift: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Pay: $19–$20/hour
• Location: Southwest Indianapolis, IN

Position Summary

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing inventory with accuracy and efficiency. This position requires experience with RF scanners, data entry, and warehouse management systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

This role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the day. Candidates must be comfortable operating a sit-down forklift, handling varying box sizes and weights, and assisting in multiple warehouse areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate RF scanners to locate, receive, and process inventory
• Accurately count inventory before and after picks to ensure order accuracy
• Build pallets based on product weight and size to prevent damage
• Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently
• Apply shipping labels correctly before staging orders
• Stage cargo safely and maintain organized warehouse flow
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization, including:
  • Sweeping
  • Product consolidation
  • Removal of packing materials (dunnage)
• Follow all health and safety procedures
• Assist with additional warehouse duties as assigned
• Comfortable working at heights when necessary

Qualifications

• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Basic computer/data entry skills
• Flexible and team-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous warehouse experience is a plus
• Forklift experience preferred
