About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief of Staff to serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team. This half-time role is pivotal in supporting internal processes, problem-solving operational and management challenges, and leading special projects. The successful candidate will have a whole-person approach, ensuring that the organization's mission to serve and protect immigrant survivors is at the forefront of all activities. Responsibilities include providing management support, facilitating cross-functional team processes, and overseeing annual planning. The Chief of Staff will also be involved in governance support, particularly in engaging with the Board, and must be committed to the values of the organization, including a trauma-informed and values-aligned approach. Applicants for the Chief of Staff position at the company should have a minimum of eight years' experience in people and project management and operations, with a proven track record in leadership, process development, and organizational development. The role requires a candidate who is comfortable operating as a facilitator and coordinator, with strong problem-solving, communication, and critical-thinking skills. A sincere commitment to equity and inclusion, as well as experience in supporting or engaging with nonprofit governance, is essential. The ideal candidate will be consultative, organized, and an excellent communicator, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a part-time role with minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal skills, cultural humility, and a commitment to trauma-informed practices are also key requirements for this position.
