The PCCU is a 32-bed unit, consisting of 20 telemetry, and 12 ICU step-down beds. The unit cares for cares for highly acute cardiac medicine patients with diagnoses such as acute MI, cardiomyopathy, dysrhythmia, and heart failure. Treatments are primarily medical, but frequently include intervention in the Cardiac Cath & Electrophysiology lab.
