We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our growing Revenue Cycle Management team in Johns Creek, GA.

Job Summary

As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will serve as a primary point of contact for patient billing inquiries, provider coordination, and insurance verification. This dynamic role combines active phone/email customer support with technical billing duties, including claims review, EOB analysis, patient payment processing, and pre-authorizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer & Provider Support: Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound communication (phone and email) with patients, medical providers, and insurance carriers regarding billing inquiries and payments.
  
• Claims & Coding Review: Review patient claims and medical documentation to accurately identify billable ICD-10 codes.
  
• Insurance Verification: Verify patient eligibility, resolve Coordination of Benefits (COB) issues, and secure pre-authorizations and medical record requests as needed.
  
• Financial Estimates & Collections: Calculate patient financial responsibility, deliver clear cost estimates over the phone, and process patient payments efficiently.
  
• Administrative Operations: Prepare routine reports, update electronic files, and perform additional administrative duties supporting the Revenue Cycle team.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required:

• 1+ years of hands-on experience in medical billing and coding.
  
• 1-2 years of experience working with ICD-10 codes and a strong understanding of medical terminology.
  
• Background in a high-volume call center or high-call-volume medical office environment.
  
• Proven customer service skills with a patient-first approach.
  
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Regular sitting, standing, and desk-based work utilizing computers and keyboards.

• Occasional light lifting (up to 25-50 lbs).
