We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Director of Learning & Development to lead a modern learning function that empowers our people and fuels our firm's success. This role is anticipated to be hybrid. Hybrid employees are expected to alternate time between both remote and office. YOUR TEAM. As one of our People & Culture Leader, the Director of Learning & Development will be responsible for CohnReznick University , our enterprise learning organization, which spans Advisory, Assurance, Tax and Practice management globally. The Director will spearhead a future-ready L&D strategy - integrating AI-enabled learning design and analytics , advancing enterprise-wide AI adoption and upskilling , and ensuring our programs meet the highest professional standards. This position reports to the Chief People Officer and collaborates extensively with business leaders and the People & Culture team to drive a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and inclusivity. Responsibilities:
- Learning & Development Strategy: Define and execute a comprehensive L&D strategy as part of an integrated talent development plan. Continuously evolve the strategy to meet emerging business needs, future-of-work trends, and the opportunities of AI in learning.
- CohnReznick University Leadership: Build and lead the L&D team and strengthen CohnReznick University's brand as a center of excellence for learning. Foster an inclusive learning culture where every employee is empowered to grow and leaders actively develop their teams.
- AI-Enabled Learning & Analytics: Integrate advanced technologies and AI into learning solutions (e.g., personalized learning pathways, adaptive learning platforms, learning analytics) to drive engagement, measure learning impact, identify skill gaps, and continuously improve program effectiveness.
- AI Adoption & Workforce Upskilling: Champion enterprise AI upskilling initiatives to build firm-wide digital and AI literacy. Partner with business and technology leaders to embed AI competency development into programs, ensuring our workforce is prepared for the future and utilizing AI responsibly.
- CPE Program Oversight & Compliance: Own the firm's CPE (Continuing Professional Education) program and NASBA compliance . Ensure all learning programs meet NASBA standards and CPE requirements, including timely NASBA reporting, audit readiness, and maintaining our status as a NASBA-approved sponsor.
- Leadership & Management Development: Design and deliver scalable leadership and management development programs that set a high standard within the professional services industry. Ensure our leaders and managers are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and behaviors to excel and foster high-performing teams.
- Curriculum Design & Delivery: Develop future-focused curriculum for both technical and professional skills, aligning with evolving industry trends, client needs, and emerging competencies (such as AI, digital transformation, and data-driven decision-making). Ensure multi-modal learning (in-person, virtual, self-paced, microlearning, etc.) meets diverse learning styles and is delivered through an effective hybrid model .
- Learning Technology & Ecosystem: Oversee a modern learning technology stack - including our LMS/LXP platforms , content libraries and marketplaces, virtual learning tools, and analytics systems - to facilitate a seamless, engaging learning experience. Partner with IT and People Analytics to leverage data in optimizing learning processes and technologies.
- Talent Development Integration: Work closely with Talent Management and business stakeholders to integrate learning with broader talent processes (onboarding, career pathways, performance management). Ensure robust career pathing and skills frameworks are in place, using data to guide workforce development and advancement.
- External Partnerships & Best Practices: Identify and manage relationships with external learning providers, content vendors, and industry consortia. Benchmark and incorporate best practices in corporate learning (from professional services and other industries), keeping the firm's L&D approach at the leading edge and compliant with evolving CPE requirements.
- Culture & Change Leadership: Act as a culture carrier and change agent , promoting our company valuesmand a growth mindset through all learning initiatives. Drive change management efforts to embed learning and innovation (especially around new technologies) into everyday work life.
- 10+ years of progressive talent development experience , with deep expertise in Learning & Development strategy and program execution within a dynamic, fast-paced corporate or professional services environment.
- Demonstrated success in building and leading large-scale L&D programs (preferably global or multi-location), including both strategic planning and hands-on implementation of learning initiatives that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Strong background in learning analytics and data-driven decision-making , with the ability to leverage metrics and insights to continuously improve program effectiveness.
- Experience with AI in learning and talent development , such as incorporating AI-driven tools, personalized learning technologies, or intelligent content curation, and a firm understanding of responsible AI practices in an HR/L&D context.
- Proven track record in CPE program management or similar compliance-driven learning initiatives, ideally including familiarity with NASBA/AICPA CPE standards , reporting procedures, and audit processes for accredited learning programs.
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills - able to influence and collaborate with senior executives, cross-functional partners, and subject matter experts. Adept at leading and developing high-performing teams, including remote or distributed team members.
- Strategic thinking and innovation: Able to translate business strategy and future trends (e.g., AI, digital transformation in the industry) into a compelling learning vision and agile program roadmap.
- Outstanding communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to craft and deliver engaging presentations, tell a compelling story, and guide diverse audiences through change.
- Excellent project and program management abilities - highly organized, able to juggle multiple initiatives and deliver results in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Educational Credentials: Bachelor's degree required (Master's in HR, Education, Organizational Development or related field preferred). Relevant certifications (e.g., CPTD, SHRM-SCP, or similar) are a plus.
- Prior professional services and/or accounting industry experience
- Prior experience working in a matrixed environment
- Prior experience developing curriculum for a highly technical workforce
- People analytics/data storytelling capability would be advantageous
- Prior experience building or working with an offshore learning and development service team
