SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST About the Role The Surgical Technologist provides technical assistance to surgeons and physicians during surgical procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). When not directly assisting during a procedure, the Surgical Technologist may participate in patient care activities under the direction of the Clinical Leader, Charge Nurse, or Registered Nurse. Every employee is responsible for delivering highly reliable, safe, and compassionate care while adhering to the National Patient Safety Goals. This role is part of a supportive and just learning environment where each employee is valued for their contributions to the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors. Teamwork is essential to this position. The Surgical Technologist works collaboratively with the surgical team and other members of the healthcare team to promote a unified, respectful, and positive workplace. Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited Surgical Technology program. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
