Residential Care Associate I – 5673 Full‑time, Regular, Full‑Time, Portland, OR, US Requisition ID: 5673 | 2 days ago Salary Range: $20.60 – $21.86 per hour About the Position We are looking for a Residential Care Associate I to join our Aspen Hill program in Portland, Oregon. The Residential Care Associate I will provide caring companionship and assistance with daily tasks to clients, offering personal care services and support that helps individuals develop appropriate daily living skills and independent activities of daily living. Responsibilities include meal preparation, clean‑up, and food purchasing while encouraging client participation; passing medications and performing delegated medical care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse; transporting clients to and from the program; and maintaining compliance with established productivity standards for documentation of services. This position falls under the AFSCME bargaining unit. Wages, benefits, and working conditions are set in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. Training Program With our MHACBO‑accredited training program, you will earn CEUs toward applicable mental health certifications while attending required, paid training and receiving qualified clinical supervision to gain on‑the‑job experience. Work Schedule Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00 pm – 8:30 am (Full‑time night shift) Compensation $20.60 – $21.86 per hour, DOE/Credentials. An additional $3.00 per hour night shift differential applies for the period 10:00 pm to 8:30 am, provided at least 2.5 hours of your shift occur within this period. Additional 5% language differential offered for bilingual or multilingual candidates. About the Program Aspen Hill RTF is a non‑secure, 8‑bed Residential Treatment Facility located in Portland, Oregon that offers residential, community‑based mental health treatment. Programming is tailored to meet resident needs and can range from personal care, medication management and administration, individual and group therapy, skills training, case management, nursing consultation, and assistance around community activities. What You’ll Need Caregiving and/or mental health experience (personal or professional) preferred. A dedication to the wellbeing of each resident and helping them complete activities of daily living (ADL’s) and independent activities of daily living (IADLs). Driving is an essential function. Must provide a valid driver’s license from your state of residence within 30 days of hire, maintain a safe driving record, and be able to pass a DHS criminal background check. Physical Demands Ability to frequently talk, listen, use hands and fingers, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb stairs, lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds. Occasionally use ladders, squat/kneel, and perform other physical tasks.
