That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Expert in Bethesda, MD, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.Pay Rate: $21.45 / HourJob ScheduleDayTimeSat03:00 PM - 11:00 PMHow This Role Works* Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.* Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.### Responsibilities* Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.* Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.* Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site protocols, reporting concerns and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.* Support daily operations by maintaining visible presence, completing assigned reports, and/or assisting with directions and general information for people at the location.Minimum Requirements* Be at least 21 years of age.* Possess 5 or more years of security-related experience.* Alarm panel experience is preferred.* Customer service experience is preferred.* Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.* A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us* Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.* Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.* Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.* Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.ClosingAllied Universal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
