Operating Room Registered Nurse - Cardiac and General Surgery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 hour shifts from 06:45 AM to 07:15 PM, with every other weekend call.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse with extensive experience in cardiac and general surgery. The ideal candidate must have proficiency in both circulating and scrubbing roles and possess strong skills in various surgical procedures across specialties.

Responsibilities

• Circumvent and scrub for a variety of surgical procedures, including cardiac, general, urology, and robotic surgeries.
• Assist in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.
• Ensure patient safety and maintain sterile environments in the operating room.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to provide optimal care during procedures.
• Participate in the maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years RN experience, with at least 1 year in the operating room focused on cardiac and general surgery.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• West Virginia RN License or compact license required (pending license submissions are accepted).
• Proficient in surgical procedures including, but not limited to, vascular surgeries, orthopedic surgeries, gyn surgeries, and robotic surgeries.
