The work schedule is primarily Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for older adults to understand their unique challenges and needs on an individual basis.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based interventions that consider cognitive shifts, physical health, and the social context of each patient.

• Deliver high-quality therapeutic services, including individual and family therapy, to effectively manage psychiatric conditions endemic to the geriatric population.

• Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure that care is holistic and integrated, addressing all facets of the patient’s well-being.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for elderly patients experiencing acute mental health episodes, facilitating both short-term and long-term treatment strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, preferably within a geriatric context.

Compensation and Benefits\n
