Position: SAP Integration Architect Stripe / S/4HANA Digital Payments
Location: Remote
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP Integration Architect with strong expertise in payment integrations between Stripe and SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition 2023 .
The consultant will review the existing payment integration architecture, assess the current implementation against alternative SAP integration approaches, and provide recommendations for a scalable and future-ready solution.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP Integration Suite/CPI, SAP Digital Payments Add-On, S/4HANA Private Cloud, APIs, and payment integrations , along with the ability to evaluate integration architecture and recommend improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review the existing Stripe and SAP S/4HANA payment integration architecture.
- Understand the current integration flows, interfaces, APIs, data exchange, and error-handling mechanisms.
- Assess the existing integration approach against available SAP-supported integration patterns.
- Evaluate options involving SAP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration (CPI/CI) and the SAP Digital Payments Add-On .
- Identify architectural gaps, limitations, risks, and potential scalability issues.
- Evaluate alternative approaches for integrating Stripe with S/4HANA.
- Recommend an integration architecture that is scalable, maintainable, secure, and future-ready.
- Review API and interface design between Stripe, SAP S/4HANA, and related systems.
- Assess authentication, security, monitoring, error handling, and integration support processes.
- Review payment transaction flows and integration touchpoints within S/4HANA.
- Work with SAP Finance and business teams to understand payment-processing requirements.
- Provide recommendations for improving or modernizing the existing integration architecture.
- Document the current-state and future-state integration architecture.
- Support implementation planning and technical design for the recommended approach.
- Collaborate with SAP, payment, cloud, and integration teams throughout the assessment.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in SAP Integration / SAP Integration Architecture .
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA , preferably Private Cloud Edition.
- Experience integrating Stripe with SAP S/4HANA or comparable payment platforms.
- Strong experience with SAP CPI / SAP Cloud Integration / SAP Integration Suite .
- Experience with SAP Digital Payments Add-On .
- Strong understanding of APIs, REST/SOAP, integration patterns, and interface architecture.
- Experience designing and evaluating enterprise SAP integration architectures.
- Strong understanding of payment-processing integration flows.
- Experience assessing existing integrations and recommending alternative/future-state architectures.
- Experience with integration monitoring, error handling, security, and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and architecture documentation skills.
Preferred
- Experience specifically with S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition 2023 .
- Experience with Stripe payment APIs and integration patterns.
- SAP Digital Payments implementation experience.
- Experience with SAP Finance/payment processes.
- Experience conducting SAP integration architecture assessments or modernization initiatives.
