Payment will be around $22- 25 hourly.

The Medical Receptionist Medical Assistant supports a primary care practice through a balanced combination of front-desk operations and clinical support. Reporting to the Practice Manager, this role helps serve a typical daily volume of 41–60 patients while coordinating efficient patient access, accurate documentation, and quality administrative and clinical workflows. Opportunities include cross-training in clinical duties and expanded administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient check-in and support a welcoming patient experience.
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
• Verify insurance information and eligibility.
• Complete patient intake and measure vital signs.
• Maintain accurate medical records and EHR documentation.
• Document clinical information accurately and in compliance with HIPAA requirements.
• Coordinate daily office operations and communicate effectively with patients and team members.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR).
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with insurance verification and appointment scheduling.
• Ability to measure vital signs.
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance and clinical documentation.
• Strong patient communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in outpatient medical office operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
