Security Receptionist

To provide a secure and efficient operations by directing visitors and outpatients to the proper areas within the hospital. Provide current patient and hospital information, as required.

Works under the moderate supervision of the Security Supervisor, with administration direction from the Director of Security.

Mostly light work involving sitting and reading for long periods of time and extensive public contact. Potential for minimal exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials, requiring the observance of Standard Precautions and safe handling practices.

Dedicates oneself to achieving excellence in service by applying the hospital's leadership values in daily work practices. Functions with an awareness and application of safety/legal/emergency standards as identified within the institution. Ensures confidentiality and rights of patients and employees and the confidentiality of all hospital and departmental documents, including being in compliance with HIPAA. Ability to follow oral and written instructions, seeking guidance when appropriate. Assumes responsibility for job duties and is accountable for own actions. Adheres to all hospital and department policies and procedures. Demonstrates understanding of hospital compliance policies. Performs related duties as required or assigned.

High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience in public contact work desirable.
