Required Qualifications:

• Experience as a Paraprofessional in a school setting is highly valued
• Enthusiasm for working with elementary-aged children in special education classrooms
• Commitment to supporting students’ educational, behavioral, and emotional needs
• Eligibility to obtain a DPI paraprofessional certificate (must be able to secure certification)
• Dependability and professionalism in a dynamic educational environment
• Effective communication skills to work closely with teachers, students, and families

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with lead teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide direct instructional and behavioral support to students across various classroom settings
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and classroom management for elementary-aged learners
• Encourage inclusion and positive social interactions among students
• Adapt materials as needed for diverse learning styles and abilities
• Document observations and maintain confidentiality regarding student information
