Make a direct impact as a Special Education Teacher serving students and collaborating with a dedicated school team for the upcoming academic year. Openings are available for both an Elementary (Grades 1-4, high needs) and a High School role, located conveniently near Eden Prairie, MN. This contract position runs from August 17, 2026 through June 9, 2027, offering weekday hours: 7:30am - 3:00pm (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri), and 7:30am - 4:30pm (Wed).
You’ll benefit from manageable caseloads (maximum 15 students), in-school dedicated time for IEPs and due process, and robust support from on-site specialists. Compensation for these roles ranges between $38 and $44 per hour, and comprehensive healthcare benefits are available.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Minnesota Special Education (SPED) Teaching License (Tier 3/4)
- Experience working with IEPs and understanding due process requirements
- Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
- Commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students with disabilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect special education services to students based on individual IEPs
- Create supportive, structure-rich classroom environments
- Supervise paraprofessional staff to ensure effective support and instruction
- Collaborate with general educators, families, and on-site SPED Coordinator, Due Process Specialist, and SPED Coach
- Elementary role: Deliver instruction for grades 1-4 with high needs populations
- High School role: Provide academic and behavioral support through both resource and push-in services
