Medical Scribe

California Wound Healing Medical Group is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Full-Time Medical Scribe to support our healthcare providers during patient rounds throughout the Greater Los Angeles area. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in gaining hands-on exposure to wound care, skilled nursing, and clinical documentation while working closely with experienced healthcare providers. What You’ll Do: Accompany providers during patient rounds at skilled nursing facilities and other assigned clinical locations Accurately document patient encounters in applicable EMR/EHR systems Document provider-directed information, including wound assessments, procedures, treatment plans, and follow-up care Assist providers with maintaining timely, complete, accurate, and organized clinical documentation Identify missing, incomplete, or unclear documentation and flag it for provider review Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times Travel to assigned facilities throughout the Greater Los Angeles area When not assigned to field-based scribing duties, assist with office-based Quality Assurance (QA) and clinical documentation support as assigned What We’re Looking For: Strong typing, listening, and written communication skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Familiarity with medical terminology Ability to learn and efficiently navigate electronic medical record systems Strong organizational and time-management skills Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential patient information Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between assigned facilities Ability to work effectively both independently in the field and collaboratively with providers and the QA team Previous medical scribe, medical assistant, or healthcare experience preferred Wound care, skilled nursing, or post-acute care experience is a plus Students and recent graduates pursuing healthcare-related careers are encouraged to apply, provided they can maintain a full-time work schedule Compensation: Starting at $23/hour, depending on experience, plus applicable mileage reimbursement Employment Type: Full-Time, W-2 Schedule: Full-Time, approximately 40 hours per week; schedule may vary based on provider rounding schedules, facility needs, and operational requirements Work Setting: Field-Based / On-Site, with potential office-based QA and documentation support as assigned Benefits: Eligible employees may participate in company-sponsored benefits in accordance with applicable plan terms and eligibility requirements.
