Job Description: Location: Columbus, OH Duration: 6 months contract to hire Requirements: Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Experience in Java and well versed in Spring Boot, Microservices patterns, event-based architecture Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages (Java, ReactJS) and database querying languages Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages Well versed in both RDBMS and NoSQL Experience with microservices and Test-Driven Development architecture Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle Hands-on experience in one or more AWS services specifically ECS/EKS, Lambda, MSK, SNS, API Gateway, Step functions, storage services Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: Practical cloud native experience, AWS is preferred Hands-on experience designing and developing highly scalable, highly resilient, low latency, self-monitored applications BC forward offers all eligible employees a comprehensive benefits package including, but not limited to major medical, HSA, dental, vision, employer-provided group life, voluntary life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and 401k.
