About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Artificial Intelligence to play a pivotal role in establishing and leading its new AI Center of Excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the enterprise-wide AI strategy, governance, and innovation, with a focus on combining deep technical expertise in AI/ML with strong business acumen. Key responsibilities include providing strategic leadership for the AI Center of Excellence, advising on emerging AI trends, and ensuring the responsible development and adoption of AI across the organization. The role also involves building external partnerships in the AI ecosystem, driving high-impact AI initiatives, and establishing frameworks for evaluating and adopting new AI technologies. Applicants for the Vice President of AI position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree preferred, and at least 15 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI, particularly in healthcare, insurance, or related industries. A proven track record in AI governance, strategy, and innovation, as well as hands-on experience with large language models, modern AI frameworks, and AI infrastructure, is essential. The role requires a leader with deep expertise in AI technologies, including MLOps practices, and a strong understanding of AI's applications in multimodal systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Python, have experience with containerization and orchestration for AI deployments, and be adept at cross-functional collaboration to ensure the success of AI initiatives.
