Product Manager

Central Purchasing Position

Performs a variety of tasks in Central Purchasing; maintains part record data in Fusion. Sets up new inventory records. Communicates with suppliers. Analyzes product lines to increase performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Back-up for placing stock orders for dealerships from both OE PDC and DSP suppliers, along with H.D.A. and any other direct suppliers that are assigned.
• Creates new inventory records in the Fusion system that currently do not exist on price files as needed.
• Maintains existing inventory records in the Fusion system. This would include changing suppliers, Stock Status, Merging, Superseding, order points, and inactivating inventory records as needed.
• Communicate with suppliers on a regular basis on all matters relating to the replenishment of assigned suppliers.
• Communicate on a regular basis with dealerships on all matters relating to the replenishment of assigned suppliers.
• Analyze assigned product lines to maintain/increase the performance of the inventory.
• Assists with annual Physical Inventory at various dealerships.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• The Product Manager reports directly to the Director Parts Operations.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Prefer one year previous experience in a replenishment role and working with inventory control

Required Skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information to management.
• Proficient in basic math, can determine variance in numbers on sight. Able to count and add basic numbers without a calculator.
