• Position: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - General/Acute Care
• Employment Type: Locum tenens CRNA job
• Location: Suffolk, Virginia
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $5,220 - $5,500
• Start Date: July 16, 2026
• End Date: December 31, 2027
• Duration: 76 weeks
• Schedule: 16-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 32
• Case Mix: General surgery and orthopedic anesthesia cases
• Setting Highlights: Supportive team environment, no ICU, no OB, and no emergency coverage

Job Requirements

• Active Virginia RN license required; candidates must already hold a Virginia license
• Current CRNA certification
• Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program
• At least 1 year of CRNA experience required
• Ability to provide anesthesia care for general and orthopedic cases
• Strong clinical judgment, patient communication, and collaborative teamwork skills
• Epic experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and review patient histories
• Obtain and/or verify informed patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and expectations with patients
• Induce, maintain, and emerge patients from anesthesia safely
• Monitor physiological conditions throughout surgical procedures
• Provide clinical interventions as needed to support patient safety
• Work collaboratively with the anesthesia team in a steady, team-oriented environment
