Director of Security Operations-West

Position Title Director of Security Operations – West Location California, Colorado, Minnesota, Nevada, Washington. Office required 3 days per week in PST/MST/CST time zones. Responsibilities Establish the program’s strategic security business plan and provide leadership to direct reports and their staff. Manage day‑to‑day operations for security services. Plan, organize, and direct the activities of regional and on‑site security managers to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and meet corporate and customer needs. Handle complex security programs across business units, service organizations, and regional geographies. Collaborate with corporate security management and facility service staff to apply a consistent, common application of corporate security policies, programs, and procedures. Implement procedures and systems for visitor controls, associate identification, and safe guarding of facilities, equipment, materials, and property. Implement new corporate security solutions and processes consistently, cooperating with other corporate functions, ensuring efficient communication and change management. Brief senior and executive management on the status of security issues, vendor compliance issues, and physical security audit compliance. Develop and recommend policies, procedures, standards, training, and methods for identifying and protecting personnel, property, facilities, operations, and intellectual property assets from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, assault, vandalism, product tampering, espionage, sabotage, or loss. Develop and manage administrative and capital funding for the security program and ensure adherence to Corporate Security standards at all sites. Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of direct reports. Qualifications – Minimum BA/BS degree in a related field. Minimum 15 years of experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public, or private security agency; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree strongly preferred. Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification strongly preferred. Compensation Salary range: $155,568 – $266,688 (based on geographic location, experience, education, and skill level).
