Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored physical therapy sessions for patients, using evidence-based methodologies to address each patient's specific rehabilitation needs and objectives.
• Maintain an optimal patient load that allows for personalized care, ensuring that each patient receives focused attention throughout their treatment.
• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized treatment plans that may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and the use of specialized modalities.
• Facilitate the recovery of range of motion and physical function by employing cost-effective, non-surgical techniques that emphasize patient empowerment.
• Instruct and educate patients on techniques to manage their conditions independently, promoting a proactive approach to health and wellness.
• Conduct regular evaluations to monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies, ensuring each therapy session aligns with patient recovery goals.
• Document all patient interactions accurately using EMR software (particularly WebPT) to ensure continuity of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and strategize optimal care methodologies.
• Encourage and motivate patients to remain committed to their rehabilitation journey, fostering an atmosphere of support and encouragement.
• Promote wellness through fitness regimens tailored to improve patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on outpatient clients, including athletes recovering from sports injuries, individuals seeking rehabilitation after surgeries, and patients managing chronic conditions. We cater to a diverse demographic, emphasizing customized care that respects each client's unique circumstances and recovery aspirations.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A current and active Physical Therapist license in the State of Virginia, with no history of sanctions or disciplinary actions.
• Strong foundational knowledge of various manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription methodologies.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals.
• Proficient in using EMR systems, particularly WebPT, for accurate and efficient patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation or clinical environments.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans and exercise programs.
• A broad understanding of current research advances in physical therapy techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
