The physical therapist will predominantly operate within the clinic and will occasionally engage in weekend hospital shifts, ensuring versatile exposure and experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess physical impairments, functional limitations, and other health factors.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluations and physician recommendations, outlining specific therapy goals.

• Administer therapeutic interventions utilizing evidence-based practices to optimize patient outcomes and facilitate recovery.

• Document all patient interactions, evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with professional standards and clinic policies.

• Deliver educational resources to patients about their conditions and the importance of adherence to therapeutic protocols.

• Engage with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.

• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and support personnel in delivering effective therapy while ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population includes adults and seniors who are recovering from surgeries, managing chronic pain, or rehabilitating after injuries. You will be working with diverse individuals, tailoring your approach to meet the specific rehabilitation goals of each client while emphasizing compassionate care and emotional support throughout the recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively indicate patient status and collaborate with the healthcare team.

• Proficient in using electronic health records and therapy-related software for documentation and scheduling.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience working in a physical therapy setting, with a demonstrated ability to manage diverse caseloads.

• Prior experience in outpatient rehabilitation is highly desirable.

• Strong mentoring capabilities to guide junior staff and interns.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
