What You'll Do

• Provide in-house neonatal care for Level III NICU patients at Wesley Medical Center
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including residents and nurse practitioners
• Participate in quality improvement and research initiatives, affiliated with KU School of Medicine
• Manage approximately 1,000 NICU admissions annually, averaging 54 patients daily
• Cover a 60-bed NICU, caring for infants with complex needs (excluding ECMO and heart surgery)
• Respond to neonatal emergencies, providing expert care and therapy
• Contribute to educational programs for residents and medical students

What You Need

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology
• Kansas medical license or eligibility to obtain one
• Strong clinical skills and compassionate patient care

• Experience in a Level III NICU setting
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Willingness to participate in quality improvement activities

About the Assignment This position offers the opportunity to be part of a dedicated neonatal team, providing expert care in a busy Level III NICU with a dynamic team environment. The hospital sees approximately 6,000 deliveries annually, with a focus on providing excellent neonatal service and ongoing research opportunities.
