Technical Specialist

Job: Technical Specialist Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid) Duration: Longterm Contract This contractor serves as an IT Business Office resource and is responsible for the procurement of contract and non-contract goods and services for the agency. Primary responsibilities include obtaining required vendor quotes, processing purchase orders for software, equipment and other commodities as assigned. Prepare and post to the Electronic Vendor Portal (eVP), the Sourcing Tool, the Contract Workspace, and complete bid solicitations including Request for Quotes (RFQs), Invitation for Bids (IFBs), Request for Proposals (RFPs), addenda, amendments, clarifications, and exception documentation. Key Responsibilities Extensive knowledge and experience in the procurement of goods and services for governmental agencies to make objective decisions and accurate judgments. Exceptional writing and listening skills are required. Ability to follow instructions explicitly and be detail‑oriented. Working knowledge and experience of state policies and regulations. Procure Information Technology goods/services such as software, equipment and other commodities as assigned. Comprehend, apply, and interpret established rules and regulations, and complex technical contract language. Thorough understanding of large and small‑scale purchasing methods and procedures. Qualifications 3 years of experience with RFPs, RFQs, IFBs, and Amendments. 3 years of working knowledge of General Statutes, NC Administrative Code, and State IT Term Contracts. 3 years of excellent communication skills, both orally and written. 3 years of ability to write extensive and complex technical information into specifications as needed according to State and/or project requirements. 3 years of excellent interpersonal skills with all types of personalities. 3 years of commitment to meeting all deadlines and maintaining records of complexity and confidential nature. #J-18808-Ljbffr
