Cook / Molder Operator- 11pm Shift

Cheese Curd Operator

Monitor and assist with the process of cooking and molding of cheese curds. Work with lab department to meet customer's expectations of cheese product.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Adjust temperatures cheese cook temps as needed for different recipes
• Mold cheese to proper weights and shapes
• Adds correct amount of smoke flavoring to vats as required
• Grind and add rework to the tables
• Change molds as needed
• Submit sample for lab testing
• Complete production logs accurately
• Ensure correct vat separation from the cooker to the brine
• CIP the cooker
• Performs table operator duties and covers them for lunch and breaks
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
• Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive
• Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements

• Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment
• Attend required training, including but not limited to, Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)

• Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity

• Responsible for monitoring and taking corrective actions when necessary for a critical control point as part of the plant HACCP plan
• Ensure that all documentation is done correctly and turned in promptly

Competitive pay - $24.00 per hour based on experience. Rate includes $1.00 shift differential for hours worked between 6 PM and 6 AM. Paid Overtime

High School Diploma or GED, preferred but not required. Must have basic math skills. Must participate in the safety observation program. Must follow all safety, GMP, CI, and HACCP programs. Must be able to work safely around chemicals and moving equipment. Must be able to maintain work area up to 5S standards. Must be able to read, write and speak English
