Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to support billing and collections activities for Professional/Physician services. The ideal candidate will have strong Medi-Cal knowledge, healthcare billing experience, and the ability to analyze billing trends and identify process improvement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Medi-Cal billing and collections for Professional/Physician services.
• Apply Medi-Cal guidelines and handle CIF and appeals .
• Review billing and coding information for accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze trends, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements.
• Prepare and communicate relevant findings to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Complete assigned responsibilities accurately and within required timelines.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders through email, Zoom, and in-person meetings.
  

Required Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of Medi-Cal billing and collections experience for Professional/Physician services.
• Strong knowledge of Medi-Cal guidelines, CIF, and appeals .
• Intermediate knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, coding, and medical terminology .
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word .
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Epic experience is a plus.
